What is "Manual Defrost" on a chest freezer?

We are going to hold a chest freezer to keep in the garage, and I have a seen a model that has two uncommon prices – one without blue-collar thaw out and one WITH blue-collar thaw out (which is in this area $10 more). What is Blue-collar Thaw out??

blue-collar thaw out is when u unplug and remove frozen stuff,remove frost buildup.place stuff bk,plug bk in,if it does not have blue-collar thaw out it has a timer that automatically defrosts for u,i would get the one that has the blue-collar thaw out,cost less to buy and less to run plus at smallest amount once a year u must void Freezer and sterile it out,get rid of "expired" stuff
